Ozy and Cat at DisneylandWelcome everyone. I’m Ozy and this is my wife Cat. I’m a college professor and Cat is a manger with a managed care program. And according to everyone who meet us, my wife is edgy and well, i’m just old.

We decided we don’t want to be another stereotypical couple and we certainly don’t want to be accused of aging gracefully. Instead we’ve decided to tackle life after 50 head on. We are changing our habits, traveling more, eating better, exercising, and reminding ourselves that life is an adventure worth embracing everyday. and to celebrate our new found zest for life we have created this website and blog. Please feel free to look around and hopefully benefit from recipes, travel tips, and everything else on this site.

One of our favorite things to do is visit Disneyland. Despite what many people may think, the park is just as much fun for adults as it is for children. Visiting the park is a great way to stay young at heart. Not to mention there are fun events throughout the year such as Bat’s Day. The picture at the right is of using visiting Bat’s Day in spring 2017. Bat’s day is a celebration of both Goth and Rockabilly styles. Through out the year you can participate in not only Bat’s Day but Dapper Day, Galliday, and numerous others.

A little more about us. Cat was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. I was born in Alaska and raised in Northwest Arkansas. We both value education and each have master’s degrees. Now as residents of Southern California, we are exploring all this part of the state has to offer and sharing what we learn with all of you.
